The Microsoft® Windows® Shell Development Team has put together a set of productivity tools called PowerToys.

What they are:

Desktop Menu

CabView

If you're a Windows power-user, go ahead and try them out.

Great care has been taken to ensure that PowerToys operate as they should. But please keep in mind, these tools are not a part of Windows and are not supported by Microsoft. For this reason, Microsoft Technical Support is unable to answer questions about PowerToys.

By using these unsupported tools, you are using them at your own risk.

Please follow the simple setup instructions to download the PowerToys.

1.Create a folder for PowerToys. Right-click on the desktop and chooseNew: Folder from the pop-up menu. Name the folder "Power".

2.Download PowerToys. Click the link on the page below to download the file "PowerToy.exe".Save it in the Power folder you just created.

3.Decompress the file "PowerToy.exe". Open the Power folder and double-click the file "PowerToy.EXE". This will create several new files in your Power folder.

4.Install the PowerToys. Find the new Setup Information files ("INF" files-they look like notepads with a little yellow gear on each). Right-click each one (one for eachPowerToy), then choose install.
